I believe the biggest enemy of the church today just might be discouragement. Some folks get down, tired, and low, even though God has proven Himself time and time again.

You’re eating dinner with your family one evening when you hear a knock. You swing open the front door to find a group of five masked and armed Islamic States soldiers who demand to know if you are a follower of Jesus.

Friend, all of us have been “marred” in one way or another, and none of us are even close to being perfect, but God can pick up the broken pieces, fix the cracks, mold us, and shape us into something that will please Him.

On June 9th, 2012, just outside of Ft Collins, Colorado Lightning struck a single tree on private land around 6:00 in the morning. This fire quickly burned through approximately 136 square miles or more than 87,000 acres. The blaze took over 2000 fire fighters to fight and more than 3800 personnel to support the firefighting efforts at a cost of over $38.4 million.

In addition, the church has been dealing with issues of political correctness and which things or lifestyles are really sin. All of these are important issues in Christianity. However, our understanding and personal preferences about them can cause debates and quarreling which only leads to further division.
