Pastor Declares Revivals in America as Divine Providence

A famous religious leader in the country claims that the successful spiritual revivals in different parts of America are the handiwork of God.

Rev. Sam Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, noted that several events that happened around the same time in America is not a coincidence, but a divine providence, reports GodTV. The phenomenal success of faith-based film “Jesus Revolution” came out at the same time a small town in Kentucky was in the middle of a spontaneous spiritual revival, welcoming thousands of worshippers from different parts of the country.

God is in charge. God is up to something. —Rev. Sam Rodriguez, president of the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference

“If you were a skeptic, you would label this as a coincidence. But if you’re a person of faith — you see this as divine providence. It can’t be a coincidence,” he said. “God is in charge. God is up to something.”

The senior pastor of the New Season Church in Sacramento, California said it seems that Americans are facing one crisis after another, but he believes that if you look closely, there are many events that show God is at work when we entered 2023 and it is “unbelievably interesting.”

Many surveys suggested that Generation Z is the most ‘unChristian generation,’ yet the revival in Asbury University started with a small group of students.

“You have young people hungry for spirituality, for authenticity, for truth in a world full of fluidity and relativism today,” noted Rodriguez. “I love the fact that God, with a wink and a nod, says, ‘Yeah, sure, you guys think you’re in charge? And you really think I’m no longer involved? Let me show you who’s truly in charge and who’s on the throne.'”

In an interview with CBN News, the Hispanic faith leader pointed out that, “God’s moving in a new generation.” He said, “Am I optimistic? Absolutely…are we on the precipice of a new Jesus revolution? Yes. Do I think more people will be saved in the next five to 10 years, if the Lord tarries, than ever before? Yes—100 percent.”

Note that a group of conservative evangelicals launched a multi-million faith-based campaign called “He Gets Us.” There are television commercials, online ads, and billboards for this initiative. It also advertised during this year’s Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin suffered a cardiac arrest during a game early this year. Fans on the field and millions of other people watching at home started to pray for his safety and recovery. Even ESPN anchor Dan Orlovsky prayed for him on live television the next day.

“There’s hunger—whenever you find prayer, repentance and hunger for God, God will show up,” said Rodriguez.
